Itinerary

Day 1 - Upington South Africa

Today we make our way north to Upington where we camp for the night. (D)

Day 2 - Fish River Canyon Namibia

Crossing the border into Namibia we make our way to the Fish River Canyon , the second largest canyon in the world. The stark beauty of this country will strike you immediately. We watch the sunset over the canyon and camp under the stars-welcome to Africa ! (B,D)

Days 3,4 - Sesriem Namibia

Today's drive is full of interesting scenery as the landscape changes completely from mountains to desert. Sossulvlei has the highest dunes in the world, and we view them at both sunrise and sunset for brilliant photo opportunities. The colours are straight out of an artist painting. You also have the chance to climb a dune and see if you can get to the top! Both nights we camp on the edge of the desert. (B,L,D)

Days 5,6 - Swakopmund Namibia

We travel through the Namib-Naukluft Park and some more amazing scenery. The lunar landscape appears as we approach the coast. Swakopmund is an oasis coastal town, with a strong German influence. There are many options available to you such as deep sea fishing, a visit to a seal colony, quad biking or sand boarding for a close up look at the dunes. The evenings are free to enjoy a plentiful nightlife. (B)

Day 7 - Windhoek Namibia

We travel inland to Windhoek, Namibia's capital where we spend the night and have the opportunity to explore the city. (B)

Day 8 - Cheetah Farm Namibia

We make our way to the Cheetah Farm where we camp right next to the Cheetah Enclosure and have the unique chance to see many of the these majestic animals close up. (B,L,D)

Days 9,10 - Etosha Namibia

Today we enter the Etosha National Park and spend our days doing game drives and looking for animals in the Park. We stop at Etosha Pan, around which the Park is situated. A waterhole next to campsites we stay at offers abundant game viewing where it is possible to see black Rhinos, elephants and if we are lucky enough, some of the big predators that inhabit the park. (B,L,D)

Days 11,12,13 - Ngepi Namibia

Leaving Etosha, we head northeast through the Caprivi Strip to Ngepi, our campsites on the banks of the famous Okavango River. This area lets you get back to nature and offers a chance to relax. You may choose to stay at the main camp or do an optional excursion to the Delta Panhandle in Botswana where you explore the waterways by motorboat and mokoro (2 man dug out canoe). If you decide to stay at the main camp there are many day activities to choose from. (B,L,D)

Day 14 - Livingstone Zambia

Making our way east, we cross the Zambezi River into Zambia and head for Livingstone, the Zambia side of the Victoria Falls. Here we top off our trip with a memorable sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. All drinks and snacks are included as well as the opportunity to view wildlife including Hippos and Elephants. A great chance to bid farewell to your fellow travellers. (B)
