Itinerary
Day 1 - Nata (Botswana)
Departing Johannesburg, we make our way to the Botswana border. Leaving South Africa we cross into Botswana. This vast, thinly populated country is one of Africa's few economic success stories, in large part due to the immense mineral wealth that lies beneath its sandy soils. Diamonds being the source of much of its wealth. We continue northwards to Nata, where our first night is spent camping on the edge of the Makgadikgadi Pans. (D)
Day 2 Livingstone - Victoria Falls (Zambia)
This morning we make our way northwards to Livingstone, the town on the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls. We visit the spectacular Victoria Falls, aptly named "the smoke that thunders. Late afternoon we embark on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi (Zambian side). As well as enjoying some sundowners on the cruise, you will have the opportunity to see some of the wildlife that inhabits the banks of the river. (B,D)
Day 3 Livingstone - Victoria Falls (Zambia)
Today is free to go white water rafting, canoeing, elephant riding, bungy jumping and more. Victoria Falls is the adrenalin capital of Africa so there is plenty to choose from. Explore the town, visit the wonderful craft markets or even do a "Flight of the Angels" over the falls! You have the option to cross the bridge into Zimbabwe and the town of Victoria Falls. (B,D)
Day 4 - Chobe National Park (Botswana)
This morning is free to do some last minute shopping at the markets and in town. We then cross into Botswana where we will camp in Kasane on the banks of the Chobe River. In the late afternoon you have the option of a river cruise, where it is not uncommon to see herds of elephant swimming across the river as well as buffalo coming to the water to drink and not to mention the hundreds of hippos inhabiting the river. Day 5 - Maun (Botswana)
This morning we do a 4x4 game drive into Chobe National Park, home to some of the large herds of migratory elephants that Botswana is so famous for. A game viewing experience not to be missed. After breakfast we make our way south. On this drive through the Chobe district is is not uncommon to see elephants and other wildlife along the side of the road. Late afternoon we arrive in Maun, the gateway to the Delta. You can visit a nearby Crocodile Farm, and we make our preparations for our trip into the Delta. (B,D)
Day 5 - Maun (Botswana)
This morning we do a 4x4 game drive into Chobe National Park, home to some of the large herds of migratory elephants that Botswana is so famous for. A game viewing experience not to be missed. After breakfast we make our way south.

Days 6,7,8 - Okavango Delta (Botswana)
This morning we venture into the wild bush of Africa, far from any form of civilisation. Our journey begins by 4x4 and once in the Delta we join local villagers/ guides on mokoros (2 man dug out canoes). We begin our search for abundance of wildlife that inhabits the Delta. Drifting silently through the channels. We set up camp on islands in the Delta. After a breathtaking sunset, relax around the campfire listening to the magical sounds of the night. The days are filled with game walks, tracking different species and exploring the waterways of the world renowned Okavango Swamps. On the last afternoon we return to Maun and enjoy a braai (BBQ). Day 9 - Khama Rhino Sanctuary (Botswana)
This morning you have the option of a scenic game flight over the Delta giving you the chance to see the entire area as well as spot some game. After that we head south where we spend our last evening in the Seretse Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a project to re-introduce Rhinos to Botswana. During a game drive see if you can spot the White Rhinoceros in their conservation programme. (B,D)
Day 10 - Johannesburg (South Africa)
Departing early from the Rhino Sanctuary we cross the border back into South Africa arriving back in Johannesburg late afternoon. (B)
